What is the vision of the municipality in the crisis of education management?
The corona virus has had a major impact on education. At present, there is no environment for children to come to school. We can’t run regular classes even if we want to. For this, the municipality has made an education sector improvement plan. The municipality has promoted education through the Child Development Center. In order to improve the teaching of the upper level, we have assigned subjective teachers to improve the level of teaching by reaching out to the students.
What is the status of thematic subjective education in the entire city?
What is the condition of the school?We used to say that our grandparents are weak in English subject based on the results of basic class (class 8). However, the results of the last academic session show that students are weak in social studies and science. On the one hand, while the standard is improving, on the other hand, the educational results are declining.While Social education is weak,the country and the world will not be known,Today’s need will not be met due to weakness in science, we have made a plan to formulate policies and programs through the Municipal Council to take all the issues forward in a parallel manner. Of course, don’t know when the schools will open. This is the problem in all the municipalities across the country.
What is the cornerstone of the plan to bring, teach and sustain students in the community schools included in the policy and program of Manthali Municipality?
It is the dream of every parent to educate their children in a good place. Read well and be a good captain for tomorrow. Be worthy for a higher level . Making community school education credible is the cornerstone of the plan to bring, teach and sustain students in community schools. For this, it is necessary to increase the awareness of the subject teachers and the activism of the school administration. Better education can be given by merging schools with limited resources and means rather than just spending a day by opening schools. By doing so, the problem of inadequate teacher posts can be solved to some extent. When we can reassure parents by improving schooling, there will be no shortage of students in community schools. Parents themselves send their children to community schools. We are constantly working for this.There are no shortage of buildings and furniture in Community schools. Community schools now have to go for quality education. The municipality will not left any effort in the remaining structure and teacher management.
What is the teacher and student incentive program brought by the municipality?
As long as there is no competition in every sector, that sector will not develop. We also want quality competition in education. Thematic/ subjective competition is also necessary among the teachers of a school. We encourage teachers to be outstanding in thematic/ subjective competitions. We appreciate his hard work. While one teacher is respected today, another teacher wants to follow that path tomorrow. Due to which we can reach the desired result. In the current situation, only children who cannot go anywhere are studying in community schools. We are committed to making community schools the hub of quality education.
Where has the municipality failed to fill the shortage of technical and skilled teachers in schools?
We have been requesting the resignation of teachers who have been receiving pensions for the past years and are unable to advance themselves in a new way. Under the same program, nine teachers resigned last year. In the present era , without the knowledge of technology, the appropriate education cannot be given. Failure to provide era-appropriate education means that the education world is not cooperating to build a new Nepal. If the concerned parties consider the request made by the municipality in this regard as their duty and create a conducive environment, it will be a golden age of their contribution in the educational reform of community schools.According to the policy of the Government of Nepal, institutional /private schools have to work for the reform of community schools.
What are the responsibility given to the institutional school by the Manthali municipality?
There are three institutional schools in the district headquarters. We have been asking for their help over the years. We are expecting special support for the educational reform of Nagakanya Secondary School in Manthali. When the quality of education in the schools within the district headquarters is different, there is discrimination and discrimination leads to conflict. We have thought of giving responsibility to the institutional schools to make the educational quality of all the schools equal.
If Methods and procedures are possible , we can allow Nagakanya Secondary School, Gadwari to be operated in coordination with the institutional schools and also Institutional schools can also be sent for assistance in other educationally dilapidated schools.
What is the suggestion given to the teachers, parents and students within the Manthali municipality as the mayor?
If you look at the current situation, the educational situation is terrible. I therefore urge all parents to pay attention to the education of their children. Make your children at least a learning environment. There is no condition to go to school now. The school should also monitor its students as much as possible. Schools that are lagging behind in academic results should also prepare well to provide quality education.Otherwise, your school class may be reduced.
