Shrawan 7, Kathmandu. Burman Budha, a former veteran communist leader from Rolpa’s Thawang , has died. He died at the age of 90 on Wednesday morning after undergoing treatment against intestine cancer at Patan Hospital in Lalitpur for the past one year.
In 2048 BS, Burman Budha was one of the nine winning MPs of the Jana Morcha. At that time, Krishna Bahadur Mahara led the Janamorcha in Parliament.
Burman Budha, who was involved in the people’s war of the then NCP (Maoist), was dissatisfied with the split in the Maoist party.
Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun ‘Pasang’ has honored Burman Budha by covering his body with the national flag. NCP (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has paid his last respects by waving the party’s flag.
