Shrawan 6, East Nawalparasi.Two people have been lost contact when a landslide buried their house in Bulingtar of East Nawalparasi while flood and landslide incidents are becoming public due to heavy rains in Nepal in the last few days. Sher Bahadur Sarki, 70, and his wife ,of Dandajheri in Bulingtar village municipality-2 , Shashi Kiran Bastakoti , chairman of the village municipality 2,has informed that the landslide has made them missing.

While they were sleeping in their own house, a landslide hit them at around 3 o’clock on Tuesday morning. The landslide has made the Sarki family disappear, along with goats and chickens. District Police Chief SP Deepak Regmi said that details of the incident are yet to come.
The road has been blocked due to the landslide and telephone communication has not been possible, said SP Regmi. “Therefore, the details of the incident have not been released yet.”Police have not been able to reach the spot so far .Locals and people’s representatives have been deployed in the rescue operation. In another incident, a pickup van (Lu 2 Cha 6171) was washed away by a river on the inner road of Vinay Triveni. A source informed that the pickup van was swept away due to sudden rain on Khare which became the flood in the stream
